Zeiss Axioskop 40

Zeiss' most economically priced upright microscope, the Axiostar Plus is designed for both lab and classroom use. The Axiostar Plus is modular in design and can be configured with epi-fluorescence illumination and digital imaging. Prices start out at $1,500.00 to well under $10,000.00 for the research version with phase contrast and epi-fluorescence illumination. The Axiostar Plus is a direct descendant of the old Standard series (which is still used in many labs today) and incorporates the same planetary gear mechanism for the focus drive, ensuring years of maintenance-free operation.

Motic BA300

An economical choice for either the classroom or clinical lab. The BA300 is optically and mechanically very good and has been designed with the user in mind, with careful ergonomical consideration given to the placement of the focusing knobs and mechanical stage controls. The BA300 may also be configured with phase contrast and polarized light contrasting techniques. An excellent value!
